Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes… Not what it seems

For Rose Gardner, working at the DMV on a Friday afternoon is bad even before she sees a vision of herself dead. She’s had plenty of visions, usually boring ones like someone’s toilet’s overflowed, but she’s never seen one of herself before. When her overbearing momma winds up murdered on her sofa instead, two things are certain: There isn’t enough hydrogen peroxide in the state of Arkansas to get that stain out, and Rose is the prime suspect.

Rating; 3/5 – was a nice quick read!

What I liked; I really enjoyed this book, it was a nice summer read. The plot line wasn’t complex and I was really grateful for the lack of thinking that I needed to do during this book.

What I loved; I have thought about this and although I liked this book, and it was a nice read, I can honestly say that I didn’t really love anything about this, maybe the dog, but that was it.

What I disliked; I disliked how the story jumped, and the fact that no one said nothing about that fact that she took near enough three weeks off work with no good reason. Also the characters had no back story, there was a glancing information but the commitment wasn’t there.

What I hated; I didn’t really hate anything about this book, I was just really disappointed that the payoff wasn’t there.

What I read next; Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, I have heard a lot about this series and I really enjoyed the movie, so who knows I might like the book better.
